NovaJet's Impressive Safety Rating

Toronto, ON, April 16, 2014

For Immediate Release:
NovaJet's Safety Rating of ARGUS Platinum has been Achieved for the 3rd Year Running.

NovaJet was recently awarded the ARGUS International, Inc. (ARGUS) Charter Evaluation and Qualification (CHEQ) Platinum Rating. ARGUS International Inc. is a global safety expert within the aviation marketplace, Platinum is their highest achievement rating awarded only to aircraft operators who are engaged in the highest level of safety practices.

"Once again, we are honored to be recognized as a leader in our industry." said Greg Young, NovaJet's VP & Director of Flight Operations (DFO).

According to ARGUS, to qualify for the ARGUS CHEQ Platinum Rating operators must exceed aviation standards, have a developed safety management system, a clear emergency response plan, effective policies and procedures, and well-documented records for Operations and Management. As an added benefit, the ARGUS CHEQ rating makes passengers more aware of their operator's safety history and commercial status.

The CHEQ system has three major components: historical safety ratings, current aircraft and pilot background checks, and on-site safety audits. Analysis of these components results in three potential levels of safety rating: Gold, Gold Plus and Platinum. Each level reflects analysis and ranking based on increasing amounts of detailed information on the charter operator. The CHEQ system is the most comprehensive and detailed safety analysis program in the industry.

"ARGUS is pleased to welcome NovaJet to the exclusive global list of ARGUS Platinum Rated operators," said Joe Moeggenberg, ARGUS International President and CEO. "Becoming an ARGUS Platinum Rated operator is an enormous accomplishment and we congratulate the entire NovaJet team on this momentous occasion. It is great to see operators like NovaJet acknowledge the importance of building an organization focused on quality and safety achieve the ARGUS Platinum Rating."

The ARGUS Audit Report dated Dec 20, 2013 noted "…NJ's management have assumed ownership of the company. NJ's management team is cohesive, energetic, and focused on quality processes and operations. The company president, Director of Maintenance (DOM), and Director of Flight Operations/Chief Pilot (DFO/CP) are each highly experienced and are dedicated to NJ maintaining a safe and professional operation. The management team and most of the employees have been together of several years. Management of the daily operation is professional and uses effective processes."

Chief Operating Officer Frank da Costa noted, "Our customer's safety is critical to our business focus and achieving an ARGUS Platinum Rating over the last 3 years has driven our team to excel." For NovaJet, the rating reinforces their corporate recognition of excellence in our operations and flight safety standards

Director of Maintenance (DOM) Nick Vukojevic is quick to point out their safety and maintenance record, noting "NovaJet was one of the first 2 Platinum rated companies in Canada, and 3 years later is still only 1 of 5 top rated private jet companies." In fact, according to ARGUS and Transport Canada, only .01% of private operators in all of Canada are ARGUS Platinum rated so it's critical for buyers to ask the right safety questions.
